**_What do we do?_**


The Engineering Excellence Safety & Soundness group is a centralized task force that endeavors to ensure our software meets the highest possible standards in the technology stack. We also design to automate all the controls that are required for the banking / financial regulations to create Controls by Design.


**_What will be your responsibility?_**


+ Responsible for leading technically the controls automation SDEs for delivering quality innovative solutions

+ Required to support situations in which end user consultation is required to identify system function specifications and incorporate them into overall system design and delivery. Additionally, utilize comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology to achieve technological objectives

+ Accountable for providing architectural guidance to the SDEs based on best practices and in alignment with CTO/ CTI guidelines

+ Assist in the planning and managing of application development assignments generally involving large budgets, cross functional projects or multiple projects. This includes effectively understanding and analyzing both technical and business risks and impact

+ Expected to effectively communicate those risks to the business owners, so that they can make informed decisions.

+ Understand their accountabilities, boundaries, limitations, scale factors and the reasons behind architectural decisions.

+ Provide a long-term perspective for business and technology choices; using technical judgment to vet architecture as required

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


**_Skillset you should possess_**


The most important skill that you should possess for this role is the love for data and eagerness for new challenges & solving new problems. Apart from these, you should also have the following skillset


**_Basic Qualifications_**


+ Programming **Python** (our machine learning language), Scala, Spark SQL, Dataframes API

+ Front End- **Angular**

+ Should have experience in **Machine Learning** Algorithms, Pattern Mining/Detection

+ Proficient in designing efficient and robust Data pipelines

+ Ability to automate the manual workflows, processes, data loads

+ Ability to visualize and create dynamic robust business dashboards

+ Ability to identify, clearly articulate and solve complex business problems and present them to the management in a structured and simpler form

+ Experience of working with large and multiple datasets, data warehouses and ability to pull data using relevant programs and coding

+ Expertise in all aspects of technology by understanding broader patterns and techniques as they apply to Citis internal and external cloud platforms (AWS, PCF, Akamai)


**_Preferred Qualifications_**


+ Pyspark

+ Experience working with streaming data

+ Knowledge of Banking products is desirable

+ Should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills

+ Multiple stakeholder management

+ Strong team player

+ Java Programming

+ Masters /MCA or Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology / Computer Science from premier institutes with 6- 10 years of relevant experience in delivering data analytical solutions
