Job Description



The Governance team within the Quantitative Services Risk Operations (QRSO) Group is responsible for continuously reviewing, enhancing control and governance processes, updating documents within all functional areas in Risk Operations that include Market Risk, Prime Brokerage, Counterparty Credit Risk, Product and Model Governance. This role requires the data management analyst to work closely with the Global Market Risk team and ensure that controls executed comply with all relevant enterprise and regulatory requirements.



Responsibilities



+ May supervise a small group of associates.

+ Identify opportunities and suggest solutions to improve data quality and business processes.

+ Implement a governance framework over all reconciliations, identify gaps in current setup and work to create a routine for exception handling and standardization.

+ Communicate with internal and external auditors and enterprise testing teams and coordinate enterprise data testing efforts.

+ Be the key POC in Risk Operations for Single Process Inventory (SPI) development and lead/sign-off reviews for critical spreadsheet attestation and changes.

+ Develop a governance process for metrics such as Key Risk Indicators (KRI's) and Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) and work to create a four eye review process to ensure accuracy of data.

+ Participate in Disaster Recovery Planning and lead efforts in the annual plan renewal exercise for all sites in Risk Operations.

+ Lead efforts to enhance the Month-end Recon and DQ reporting, review risk metrics and numbers and explore best practices for analyzing trends in metrics.

+ Identify compliance control gaps and drive long term remediation of key issues.

+ Work directly with senior management from various teams to identify necessary steps to ensure compliance to constantly evolving regulatory requirements in the Risk Data Management and Reporting space.

+ Work with other groups as needed, including Global Market Risk, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data.



**Required Skills:** (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)



+ Data background, including query tools (e.g. SQL), data flow (e.g. lineage), and reporting (e.g. Tableau).

+ An understanding of financial risk.

+ Ability to critically analyze existing processes with a view to improve processes and the perceptiveness to appreciate the benefits of striving towards a target state operating model.

+ Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with risk managers.

+ Strong leadership experience, sound judgment, ability to identify and remediate issues.

+ Excellent time management, self-motivated and the ability to prioritize deliverables.

Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes. Work with other groups as needed, including Middle Office, Sales and Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data for GMRM.
