Job Purpose:
The DBA will be responsible for the design and implementation of scalable, supportable & secure data management solutions. The DBA will provide oversight of work products delivered by Infrastructure and Application DBAs. Collaborate with Enterprise Architect and Database Developers to create standardized delivery of data management solutions that are aligned with enterprise strategy and architecture.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Install software, configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
Assist architects in designing and implement infrastructure solutions for applications with regards to HA/DR and the use of data (reporting requirements etc.).
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Perform SQL Server Patching
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
Work with our Network/Security Engineers and Systems Architects on infrastructure projects.
Security and data integrity in a HIPAA compliant organization.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Should have hands 6 to 10 years of experience with database Administration using SQL Server
SQL Server, T-SQL, query optimization tools and techniques, data modelling techniques, and relational database design
Good understanding of the features available in SQL Server to achieve a scalable database solution
Experience architecting and building Data Warehouses, DataMarts
Various database development technologies, such as SQL Server, SQL Replication, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse, including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS / or ETL tools, and OLTP/OLAP features
Understanding of data modeling, data lakes, data driven insight, data quality and governance
Strong technical background, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and capable of delivering under aggressive timelines
Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Capable of incident resolution during major incident process
Good time management and prioritization skills; self-starters especially welcome
