Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Sr. DevOps Engineer and developer to join our CMS Program Integrity team on a cloud-based FWA analytical technology program. The candidate will deliver applications and tools development support for a large scale, modern, AI/ML platform to detect and prevent Medicare and Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA). Candidate will be responsible for design, engineering, developing, testing, deploying applications and tools in virtualized environments that host a large, real-time analytic/data science environment, database servers, and reporting tools in the cloud.

This position works under the general guidance of the Program Director and is viewed as a technology expert designing innovative and cost efficient solutions to provide value to our customer in an Agile development environment.

The position will require an individual that thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment, and requires strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Design, develop, and deploy modern technology solutions

  • Optimize analytic capabilities utilizing cost effective and emerging analytic tools in a cloud environment including Snowflake, Databricks, Rstudio, H2O, etc.

  • Apply modern application development techniques including automated testing, code-reuse, and managing a CI/CD pipeline

  • Develop, build, deploy and trouble CI/CD pipeline, build out Jenkinss master plugin to GitHub, and install security certificates.

  • Work with program and technical staff in all aspects of daily work.

  • Fully engaged in the implementation of a DevOps practices for supporting IT

  • Support information assurance process in a technical role by complying with technical controls, technical checklists etc.

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • 5-8 years of analysis related to design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large scale data analytic platforms including on-prem and Cloud environments.

  • 5-8 years experience with installation, operations and maintenance with complex analytic systems and databases

  • 5-8 years of experience in implementation of DevOps solutions and tools (BURP, Selenium, Jenkins, NiFi, New Relic), Kafka, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AWS Workspaces

  • 5-8 years experience performing a variety of application development, integrating, engineering and operational related assignments

  • 5-8 years of experience in managing and developing out-of-the-box solutions for IT infrastructure tools

  • Experience and familiarity with Configuration and Change management practices in Agile and standard infrastructure and software development environments

  • Some experience in AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments

  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps practices and ITIL processes

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • US Citizen with DHS Public Trust suitability clearance/EOD

  • Experience with CMS

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline
