SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to join our energized Engineering Innovation Factory Team of solution architects and digital engineers to define and build the infrastructure that fuels the Digital Engineering Transformation across our entire industry. Our work creating digital threads and digital ecosystems span an exciting variety of programs, customers and corporate initiatives requiring Digital Engineering and Model Based Engineering deployed in Defense, Federal Civilian, and/or National Security environments. This is a Remote position and can be worked anywhere in the U.S.
In this position, you will exercise both thought leadership and practical engineering application by leveraging your extensive Systems Engineering and Model Based Engineering expertise. You will use your knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy Digital Engineering solutions and services in a fast-paced rapid-deployment environment. You will learn, apply, and continuously improve our current Digital Engineering platform to capture stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of digital solutions, and enhance the digital engineering culture. You will engage with other systems engineers directly supporting programs and foster broader understanding of modeling and assist them in using Digital Engineering work products..
Successful candidate in this position will bring a record of application of systems engineering and digital engineering/MBSE methods and creative thought-leadership to mature and develop innovative digital engineering solutions. You will engage with the larger community (Industry, Government, and Academia) to stay up to date with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase our digital engineering capabilities. As part of the team, you will be required to mentor others on our solutions and standards, as well as support proposals and business development activities. Demonstrated presentation and writing skills are required.

Required Educations/Skills
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related systems and digital engineering experience 5+ years experience using enterprise modeling tools to model complex systems using SysML (e.g., Rhapsody, Cameo EA)
Broad Model Based Engineering Applications and Technology background (i.e. tools, ontologies, OSLC, internet of things, cyber security, etc.)
Experience or familiarity with various analytical and decisions aid tools (e.g. MatLab, Simulink, STK, etc.)
Broad systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification)
Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processes
Capable of receiving TS/SCI clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills
OMG Certified System Modeling Professional (OSCMP)
Exposure to multidisciplinary analysis and optimization tools (Model Center, Simulia, etc.)
Experience with Life Cycle Engineering tools (Doors Next Gen, Rational Quality Manager, Aras Innovator, etc..)
Experience leading SE teams through various phases of the systems engineering lifecycle using Digital Engineering (MBSE)
Familiarity or experience with Agile methodologies and the roles of Product Owner, scrum master, etc… and Agile tools (e.g., ADO, Jira, RTC, etc..)
Familiarity or experience with SW languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, etc.)
Target salary range: $165,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
