 Key Responsibilities:

 
As\ra Process COE Leader, you will be part of the corporate Core Process Excellence\rand Automation COE team and will be the Subject Matter Expert for the\rcorporation. You will identify and establish a team of representatives from\rHoneywell€™s four Strategic Business Units. This team will develop guidelines\rfor improving the Inspection processes within manufacturing environment and\rwill develop Computer Vision implementation guidelines that will be used by\rManufacturing Engineers across 150+ Honeywell global factories. The guidelines\rwill consist of information such as application variables, scenarios to\rconsider, required data output standards to support Digital Factory, as well as\rHoneywell€™s preferred hardware and software suppliers for those applications. Manufacturing\rEngineers will rely on your expertise to implement potential computer vision\rsolutions in their respective production lines to achieve organizational objectives.

For\rhigh-impact deployments, you will work with site operations leaders and\rmanufacturing engineers to drive the transformation in our factories with the\rright solution, including need for built-in-quality, right inspection at the\rright time, and if required suitable computer vision solutions.

  • Ideal candidates will\rhave a track record of operational improvement through use of Lean principles,\rValue Steam Maps, and computer vision implementation at a discrete\rmanufacturing company

  • Solve technical challenges related to recognition and\r pose estimation of a wide variety of objects in broad scenarios

  • Analyze and evaluate algorithms related to detection\r and pose estimation and implement & enhance them in production\r environment

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and improve the performance\r of scalable computer vision applications in Python and C++

Geographic location: Charlotte\rNC with up to 30% travel

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor€™s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or\r related technical field

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering\r and computer vision development with Artificial Intelligence

  • Knowledge of Python, C++ and Deep Learning platforms\r such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

  • In-depth understanding of fundamental computer vision\r algorithms and technologies such as OpenCV, Jupyter, YOLO.

  • Developed network of supplier relationships in the Computer Vision industry

  • For Export compliance, candidate must be a US Citizen\r or Permanent resident
