Historically, the travel requirement for this position has ranged from 80-100%. KPMG is currently seeking a Director Snowflake in Technology Enablement for our Adviosry Consulting (https://advisory.kpmg.us/) practice.


Responsibilities:


* Lead technical design and development activities for implementation of large-scale data solutions in Snowflake to support a wide variety of client use cases and industries. (Installation, configuration, transformation, reporting and analytics, data monetization experience is required.)


* Lead design and development of technology and data architectures to support client solutions leveraging best practices for cloud data warehouse migrations


* Lead cloud modernization projects through all phases of the project lifecycle with blended onshore/offshore teams that range in size from 5 to 25 team members


* Exhibit strong knowledge of the Snowflake ecosystem and can clearly articulate the value proposition of Snowflake products across a wide range of stakeholders


* Capture and translate business and technical requirements, perform hypothesis-driven consulting and lead and pursue business and client relationship development opportunities


* Translate advanced business data, integration and analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations, across multiple, diverse domains; communicate results and educate others through design and build of insightful visualizations, reports and presentations


* Promote awareness of Snowflake capabilities across KPMG and client teams including liaising with business owners, project managers, system/dataset owners and custodians


Qualifications:


* Minimum eight years of recent experience as a cloud data lake/warehouse leader with a strong background as an architect, designer or developer


* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college/university


* Experience in leading projects relating to cloud modernization, data migration, data warehousing experience with cloud-based data platforms (i.e., Snowflake)


* Experience driving technical workshops with technical and business clients to derive value added services and implementations


* Proficiency leading others through topics such as data security, messaging patterns, ELT, Data wrangling and cloud computing and proficiency in data integration/EAI and DB technologies, sophisticated analytics tools, programming languages or visualization platforms
