Summary This role is part of Daiichi Sankyo Global Translational Science department and will participate in research towards validating pharmacodynamics effects, confirming mechanism of action, and enabling patient selection and enrichment strategies for drug programs across the clinical portfolio. The successful candidate for this position will conduct biomarker and genomics data analysis in support of translational science goals for oncology clinical development programs. The primary datasets will be derived mostly from analysis of Daiichi Sankyo sponsored clinical trials as well as pre-clinical data and may require bringing in additional sources of information. S/he will deliver insights that will drive clinical development decision-making as well as contribute to the translational and precision medicine strategies by influencing methodologies, technologies and analysis utilized in translational research. Besides global Bioinformatics teams, this role will require collaborating across functions and geographies with Translational Science Strategy leads, Clinical Biomarker, Pathology, Biostats and Informatics Technology. Additionally, S/he will identify and interact with key external experts and monitor progress toward goals of external research programs in bioinformatics. Responsibilities + Collaborate with translational leads to design translational study and analysis plans supporting the development of clinical pipeline + Deliver bioinformatics analysis to translational leads and global project teams in support of the translational science goals for drug programs across the pipeline. + Coach junior bioinformaticians and colleagues in biomarker department from technical and procedural perspectives. + Collaborate with the cross-functional stakeholders such as clinical development, medical affairs, biostatistics and data management, information technology to influence drug development milestones, data management and analysis platforms across the entire Daiichi Sankyo group. + Evaluate new data resources, analysis methodologies and/or initiate external collaborations to enhance bioinformatics and translational research capabilities globally at DS. + Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation. Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university) + PhD STEM or related areas required or Master's Degree with three additional years of experience Experience Qualifications + 7 or More Years Experience in bioinformatics/ computational biology required + Experience in oncology drug development at a biopharmaceutical company is preferred.
