Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Software Embedded Engineer to support the SNAP Department (Strategic Networks, Applications, and Products). Our team focuses on Network Solutions, and supports a variety of technologies across our three departments; C3 Solutions, Strategic Networks, and Small Form Factors. C3 Solutions, specializes in Tactical Data Link processors, emulators, and simulators. Our Strategic Networks team builds solutions to defending our country's nuclear assets. And lastly, our Small Form Factors Department brings SWaP optimized solutions (Crypto, SDRs, Space Networks) to new domains, bridging us into Space, Weapons, and more. This position will be located in the beautiful city of San Diego, CA, at one of our two locations; Rancho Carmel, or Kearny Mesa.

We are looking for you to join one of our Small Form Factors teams as Embedded Software Developer. These teams specialize in crypto solutions, software defined radios, and space networking components.

Roles & Responsibilities:

+ Designs, develops, operates and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements
+ Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, aircraft and ground radios, electronic warfare jammers, mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

This position may be filled as an Embedded Software Engineer or Principal Embedded Software Engineer.

**Basic Qualifications Software Embedded Engineer:**

+ Bachelors Degree in STEM from an accredited institution and 2 years of experience in an Engineering Environment; OR, a minimum of 0 years of experience with a STEM Master's Degree
+ Experience with C, C++ Experience with real-time embedded hardware systems
+ Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded applications
+ **CLEARANCE:** Candidate must currently have an Interim or Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance prior to start date

**Basic Qualifications Principal Software Embedded Engineer:**

+ Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience; OR 3 years of experience with a Masters (MS) degree; OR 0 years of experience with a PhD
+ Experience with C, C++ Experience with real-time embedded hardware systems
+ Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded applications
+ **CLEARANCE:** Candidate must currently have an Interim or Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance prior to start date

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Familiar with tools such as Rhapsody, GreenHills MULTI Integrated Development Environment, DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuest
+ Waveform Experience cal Data Links (Link 16, VMF, MADL).
+ Experience with GreenHills Integrity
+ Experience with Avionics Operating Systems
+ Experience with Digital Signal Processing
+ Experience with LabVIEW

Salary Range: $82,400.00 - $123,600.00Salary Range 2: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
