Ascend Learning Technology & Operations is hiring now for an Endpoint Engineer to join their team. The Endpoint Engineer will manage and support all of backend engineering systems for Microsoft and Apple. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of SCCM, JAMF, Intune, MS Endpoint Manager, MS Autopilot and Crashplan. This includes but not limited to PC Images, Software Packaging and Deployment, Software Licensing, Application Metering, Group Policy, and Vender Management. This can be a remote position.



This position requires a self starter who can build relationships across multiple business units and set expectations with management at these levels. The Endpoint Engineer must demonstrate solid and consistent troubleshooting methodology. Must be able to manage their time effectively within varying prioritization timetables and know when it is necessary to escalate or deescalate an issue. The Endpoint Engineer will often juggle numerous projects and assignments and continuously reassess priorities to achieve IT department goals and objectives. Must maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information and be able to work independently and in a team environment.



Responsibilities



  • Maintain our Co-Managed SCCM environment and perform all company initiatives within co-managed console including PC Patching, PC Image, Software packaging and deployments, Software Licensing, App metering, and report running.



  • Maintain our JAMF environment and perform all company initiatives within JAMF console including Patching, MAC Image, Software packaging and deployments



  • Maintain our MDM environments including creating profiles, pushing links and apps and working with Apples ABM and VPP programs.



  • Maintain the PC Encryption Package and ensure all assets have Encryption and run reports as needed.



  • Create and maintain all GPO assigned to our PC environment.



  • Recommend desktop upgrades as needed to improve productivity.



  • Create Engineering documentation and architecture drawings of all Engineering systems



  • Selected person must be extremely personable and have great customer service skills and attitude. There will be extensive interaction with leadership and other IT resources.



  • Endpoint Engineerwill be required to provide technical training as needed to members of the Desktop Support team.



Education & Experience



  • AS in Information Technology or equivalent or MCSA, MCP plus A+ certifications.



  • Experience plus additional/other Information Systems Industry certifications considered.



  • Minimum 5+ years of desktop support experience in an enterprise environment and administration experience.



  • 3+ years of operating, maintaining and troubleshooting in Endpoint Architect\Engineering capacity.



  • 2+ years of providing system administration for SCCM, MDM, provisioning of AD, and Group Policy.



  • Certification as MCSA, or MCP plus Network+/A+ desired, but will substitute experience and education if experience and education meet company needs as expected.



  • Experience with Windows 10\11, Active Directory Structure and familiar with basic server operations.



  • Requires experience developing and testing software packages using SCCM, Installshield or equivalent.



  • Experience with Endpoint Manager applications.



  • Experience in automation and scripting: PowerShell, VBScript, batch, etc.



  • Experience with administering and deploying software using SCCM\Intune in a global environment.



  • Experience with developing and maintaining workstation images using SCCM\Autopilot.



  • Experience in patch management including bios and firmware updates, service pack upgrades, and application based updates.



  • Experience with implementing and maintaining MDM



  • Familiar with Virtual Desktop Infrastructures like Windows365 or Parralles



Skills & Abilities



  • Strong customer service focus, highly organized, responsible, and team orientated with good interpersonal and communication skills



  • Ability to work under pressure with a willingness to learn.



  • Must be able to lift and carry computer/printer equipment.



  • May be required to run cable in ceiling and along walls.



  • Ability to stand on a ladder if necessary.



  • Must be able to perform physical duties such as the installation of desktop computers and monitors.



  • Work often includes meetings outside of normal business hours. Work after-hours and/or weekends when required.
