Northrop Grumman is in need of a **Software Engineer** to work at its **Ronkonkoma, New York** facility.
**What Youll Do**
+ Reviewing current systems and present ideas for improvements
+ Develop applications to automate various processes in the lab
+ Contribute to software and database architecture / design
+ Work with managers and team members to estimate effort and clarify / negotiate / document scope and design
+ Maintain appropriate unit test coverage, code documentation, software structure and supportability
+ Identify, evaluate and suggest mitigation strategies for risks during design

**Basic Qualifications**
+ Must have 6 years of experience. Will consider a bachelors degree with 2 years of experience or a masters degree with 0 years of experience
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Expertise in current computer hardware and software
+ Detail-oriented, able to follow directions, and take initiative when needed
+ Outgoing and friendly personality, professional demeanor
+ You have excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
+ Familiar with networking and TCP/IP communication
+ Working knowledge of MS Visual Studio IDE and Team Foundation Server
+ Experienced with .NET Framework
+ Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Programming: C#, .NET, .NetCore, Entity Framework, WinForms, WPF, XAML
+ Relational Database Design and development: MS SQL Server
+ Experienced with Object Oriented programming
+ Experience with Ethernet based hardware
+ Familiar with multi-threaded timing based coding
+ Video capture/processing applications experience
+ SQL Database development experience
+ Ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints
Salary Range: $82,400.00 - $123,600.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
