What you'll do:

This is a role within Cisco's Intent Based Networking Group (IBNG). You will work on developing the Nexus 9000 line of Data Center switches that features application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility.

Who you'll work with:

You will work with a diverse group of some of the brightest problem solvers and thinkers in the Data Center Switching Team that work on next generation of Data Center & Cloud switches.

 Role/Responsibilities

1. Work in fast paced cross function organization

2. Design, develop and maintain high quality, state of the art embedded sw

3. Timely resolution of security threats and alerts according to Ciscos policy

4. Timely resolution of customer issues according to Ciscos policy

5. Work with the HW, platform, application sw, QA and technical support teams to ensure on time delivery of releases

 Linux kernel (7-10 years of experience)

1. Porting newer version of kernel on the target platforms

2. Address open CVEs

3. Introduce new kernel features and configurations

4. Assist application teams with the adoption of new kernel versions and features

5. Debug kernel, patches, KLMs, user space libraries and apps problems

6. Perform comparative kernel performance analyses

7. Perform comparative kernel memory footprint analyses

8. Perform comparative in service sw upgrade analyses

Yocto distribution customization (4-6 years of experience)

1. Adoption of new distributions and open-source component version

2. Address open CVEs

3. Debug application compatibility problems

4. Introduce new features

5. Assist application teams with the adoption of new open-source components and features

6. Perform comparative performance analyses

7. Perform comparative memory footprint analyses

8. Perform comparative in service sw upgrade analyses

9. Enhance build and release automation framework and process
