Position Summary:
The Enterprise Project Manager applies proven project management methodologies to deliver successful cross-functional, multi-departmental projects in a matrixed organization, on time, in scope and on budget. Some travel may be required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides overall project management across multiple departments and functions including but not limited to business case development, project planning, communications planning, resource planning and acquisition, resource management, risk identification and mitigation planning, status reporting, and issue tracking and escalation as necessary
Contributes to the continued development of the GT Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), including but not limited to the proliferation of project management methodologies, tools, templates, reporting, prioritization, PM knowledge management, PM training, and related collateral
Manages project time\\hours, costs\\expenses, and budget
Manages third party vendors and partners to budget and schedule
Provides leadership in understanding and assessing business issues, problems, and challenges and assimilating that input into actionable, executable plans, e.g., defining next steps, developing action plans or preliminary workplans, etc.
Exhibits sound change management methodology, including but not limited to change management planning, barriers to change analysis\\mitigation planning, training needs analysis and training plan development (working with training SMEs), communications planning and execution, etc.
Secures appropriate resources and ensure availability in a matrix organization
Ensures participation of all required resources, including key stakeholders, at all levels defined in the workplan
Plans and manages project tasks, timeline, and ensure schedule adherence
Defines and executes corrective action(s) required to regain project timeline\\schedule (if\\when overdue tasks and\\or schedules are missed)
Provides sound business perspective and judgment
Provides general technical viewpoint and guidance
Serves as the key point of contact for project within GT and beyond
Facilitates design\\configuration workshops
Participates\\leads project status meetings
Escalates issues as defined by project and/or EPMO governance
Facilitates timely issue resolution
Coordinates and facilitates timely review and signoff on all deliverables
Participates in all transition and wrap-up discussions
Delivers targeted business goals\\objectives of projects
Possesses general understanding of application programming, database, and system design
Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet, Cloud, and client/server architectures
Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies to better serve our clients
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to assess business issues, problems, and challenges and quickly turn that information into action, e.g., defining next steps, developing action plans or preliminary workplans, etc.
Successful history of effectively managing multiple projects concurrently
Mastered ability to be flexible and pivot priorities quickly and effectively
Demonstrated increasingly more demanding and complex project and leadership roles
Demonstrated team building and team leading experience, developing and integrating diverse team members and third-party resources into a cohesive and effective project team
Ability to work well and communicate effectively with senior management, including presenting complex concepts and ideas in a clear, succinct manner, effectively exercising influencing skills, etc.
Self-starter, highly motivated, with a successful track record of being able to work without direct supervision\\direction as well as with a team, including management and senior management
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Five plus years of overall project management responsibility
PMP or comparable certification (Six Sigma, etc.) a plus
Advanced knowledge of MS Applications to include Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
Experience with multiple projects with major change management requirements and implications utilizing a defined and structured change management methodology
Project lifecycle experience including but not limited to leading and\\or managing feasibility studies, opportunity assessments, business case development(s), user requirements definition, software selection, design, build\\development, testing, implementation planning, issue resolution, and post-implementation support
