Job Description Summary:
GDIT is currently seeking an Enterprise Tools/Automation Developer.

The Enterprise Tools/Automation Developer will be responsible for driving automation and integration of data center processes for a National Security program. The developer will work with other team members to create reports and dashboards from various data sources. Over time the developer will automate manual processes to enhance efficiency and productivity of the program. Position is required to meet with stakeholders to gather requirements for enhancing and/or modifying reports, workflows, and automation opportunities.

Job Description
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in, developing process frameworks and services that encompass technology, and process

  • Help internal teams accelerate automation, application integration, modernization, and security through Agile and DevSecOps transformation, customer & user experience, modern software deployment techniques, test automation frameworks, open-source management solutions, serverless computing and application performance management.

  • Working with operations teams to automate tasks, integrate ML/AI to provide greater efficiency and reliability across traditional and cloud networks

  • Provides guidance and training to other team members

  • Maintains current knowledge of cloud service provider offerings

  • Participates in special projects as required

Requirements:
Education:

Bachelors Degree in a related discipline Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business with a Technical Background PLUS 10 years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and work experience

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years experience in application development/maintenance and automation functions utilizing scripting and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

  • Strong desire to code, produce clean readable code

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and scripting languages

  • Good understanding of change management principles

  • Good understanding of security concepts, hardening of network and cloud infrastructure is a big plus

  • Experience with Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and SharePoint configuration and development

  • Experience developing testable requirements from unstructured vision statements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

  • Firm knowledge of DoD/IC, Agile, DevOps, and Lean requirements, methodologies, and toolsets, and/or application development platforms

  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills are required

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, unstructured environment is desired; ability to be a self-starter

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain technical knowledge and acquire new technical skills and/or certifications

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Sec+, CASP, CISSP or similar)

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Relevant Agile certifications strongly preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, VMware Automation, and ServiceNow a plus

  • Knowledge of or experience with tools such as Nlyte, Lenel, Tableau, ServiceNow, Gforge, SharePoint, and other commercial off the shelf software packages.

  • Understanding of Linux, VM and container environments and utilities

  • Knowledge and experience of Public Cloud

  • Experience designing and delivering solutions, preferably in a Defense or National Intelligence agency, is preferred

  • Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (ICD 503) and successful experience obtaining Accreditation & Authorization of Agile / DevOps solutions with the DoD and IC environment is highly desired
