The Citi Equities Technology E-trading technology support team (based on the New York Trade Floor) are responsible for supporting the applications and processes used by global Equity Trading business group and all aspects of E-trading order flow to facilitate the needs of the Equities trading desks. Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Equities Electronic Execution Specialist , within our global service desk support team located in NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Citis NAM Cash Equities suite of applications and their production environment and for the monitoring and support all of Equites order flow.
The role includes the support and monitoring of all Equities E-Trading order flow, management of outages, working directly with all Equities trading desks as well as communicating with desk heads during an outage to convey impact. In addition, the candidate will be expected to have experience interfacing with users directly on an Equities trading floor. Understanding of Equities markets microstructure as well as experience supporting Equities Algorithmic trading is required. The role presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join and support key area of Electronic Execution which is central to Citis Equities expansion plans.
**Functional Responsibilities:**
+ Provide support for Cash Equities business on the CITI trading floor in New York.
+ Own the relationship with the Trading Desks heads with regards to the Equities Cash production environment.
+ To monitor and maintain platform stability during all business hours.
+ Create and maintain a knowledge base to ensure that knowledge transfer takes place within the team.
+ First point of contact for all Equities trading desks regarding any Algo, order, or venue inquiries.
+ Eyes on glass monitoring of all Equities electronic order flow.
+ Perform service desk monitoring, alerting and investigation.
+ Venue outages, acting on behalf of the desk where applicable.
+ Participate in and manage incident calls to ensure all incidents are resolved as quickly as possible and business impact is minimized. Engage and track priority issues, with responsibility for the timely escalation, resolution, documentation, and closure of incident tickets.
+ Point of contact for all Equities trading desks pertaining to any Algo usage related inquiries.
+ Algo issue prioritization and tracking on behalf of end users.
+ Weekly review of follow-ups and trends with the desk heads to ensure all follow ups are tracked and closed.
+ Work with traders to set up access and workspaces in strategic order flow monitoring tools.
**Qualifications:**
+ 3-5 years experience
+ Background of hands-on front office application support
+ Background in Order Management Systems, Low Touch Trading and Client Connectivity
+ In depth understanding of Equities micro market structure, exchange behavior, opening/closing auction processes, etc.
+ Knowledge and understanding of Equities order flow and the life cycle of orders
+ Strong background and knowledge of algorithmic trading, how and when to use the various Algo strategies, and troubleshooting Algo when they do not perform as intended
+ Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
+ Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
+ Service oriented attitude
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Good interpersonal and communication skills
+ Ability to remain calm and work under extreme pressure and outage situations
+ Willingness to study and pass the following certifications; Series 7 or SIE, Series 55 or Series 57 & Series 3 within a reasonably agreed time.
