The objective of RMI is to improve recovery, minimize legal risks associated with positions that are under its management, and minimize reputational risk to the Firm.
Key Responsibilities include:
Monitoring of business and financial performance of the portfolio counterparties
Structuring, negotiating and implementing DIP facilities for impaired counterparties
Structuring, approving and implementing amendments, waivers, consents and any other legal documents pertaining to the asset under management (both in bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring scenarios)
Supervising administrative tasks associated with the assets under management
Evaluating and negotiating sale of impaired assets
Determine provisions and charge-offs for accrual based assets
Determine valuations for fair value based assets under the management of RMI
Negotiating settlement of litigations involving impaired assets
Interface with senior management, internal & external clients and outside counsel/advisors daily
Lead all aspects of reporting to senior management
Lead team of Directors, Vice Presidents, Assistant Vice Presidents, and Analysts in workout situations
Mentor and develop junior staff on an ongoing basis
