Job Summary: The Financial Services Specialist is responsible for using financial management knowledge to perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Corporate Cards. The position will ensure company policies are being adhered to as they pertain to accounting/finance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Oversees the coding and processing of invoices associated with the management of accounts payable.
Reviews all invoices for proper documentation, including required approvals, delivery (when applicable) and purchase orders.
Routing invoices from AvidXchange portal for approval as needed.
Pre-coding invoices in AvidXchange portal and submitting to the Finance Manager for final review and approval.
Ensures accurate contract / account and General Ledger (GL) coding for payables.
Ensures timely vendor payments.
Reconciles vendor statements, identity and research discrepancy.
Maintains account payable (AP) files by vendor.
Manages monthly AP closing process, including AP accrual entries.
Verifies that invoices align with contractual payment and cash expectations for major partners/project subcontractors.
Collaborates with business unit leads and partners to resolve billing discrepancies.
Please note this is a remote position and we are seeking candidates in the Clark County, Las Vegas area.
Job Requirements:
1. A high school diploma, GED, or HSED required; Associates Degree or course credits equivalent in accounting or related field preferred.
2. Minimum three (3) years of accounting or data management experience required; in an educational setting or nonprofit environment preferred; Head Start experience a plus.
3. Experienced using accounting and report writing systems required.
4. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
5. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
6. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
7. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
This position earns up to 18.58 Hourly
