The Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Analyst is a senior professional responsible for providing insight and detailed analytics in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to provide detailed analysis to contribute to the directional strategy of the US Consumer **Retail Branch Network and Retail Business Banking.** The role will include evaluation of actual financial results and projected P&L's of the business segments, including revenues, expenses, deposits, loans, productivity, investment, and headcount analytics.
**Responsibilities:**
Perform Retail Business Banking financial analysis on research, multi-year forecasts, and communications and act as a critical liaison with US Retail Branch Network & Retail Business Banking segment and support functions leaders and their associated business teams
+ Track investment and productivity performance metrics
+ Support business segments in understanding revenue, expense, staffing, and efficiency targets
+ Compile monthly P/L consolidations and commentary
+ Provide thoughtful insights for financial reviews with Finance & Business teams
+ Assist with stress test forecasts and provide business-driven rationale for divergence from internal budgets/forecasts
+ Ad-hoc support of Finance and/or business objectives
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
**Qualifications:**
+ 4-8 years of relevant finance/business/accounting experience preferred
+ Understanding of financial systems and data analytics required
+ Prior forecasting/planning and financial analysis experience required
+ Retail Banking and/or Financial Services experience desired
+ Ability to take complex problems and derive solutions in the face of ambiguity
+ Focus toward continuous process improvement
+ Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated presentation skills
+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
**Education:**
+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
+ Masters degree preferred
