Position Detail:
At the Oklahoma Lottery Commission, we see graphic design as a vital tool that helps to engage, inform and inspire our players. Whether through the creation of our products, large scale marketing campaigns, effective and unique social media assets or highly engaging promotions, the graphic design team works together to bring the Oklahoma Lottery brand to life.
We are looking for a highly creative graphic designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and a skillset that will empower them through each step of the creative process. While collaborating with members of the marketing team, the graphic designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects all aspects of that project. Tasks and Duties:
Participates and coordinates in the execution of the following activities including but not limited to
Work with members of the marketing department to determine design needs, come up with creative ideas and communicate them to members of the team.
Oversee projects from initial concept to final delivery, maintaining a high standard of design to ensure a quality final product.
Create and design various materials for print and digital assets with focus on creating daily deliverables.
Adhere to the creative direction and brand guidelines of the agency
Prioritize and manage multiple projects while communicating effectively with other members of the team.
Display a strong creative point of view with the use of unique typography and design elements.
Open to a collaborative and deadline-driven working environment.
Utilize thumbnail sketches or mockups to help explain creative direction.
Maintain and archive all records, original art and other related work.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Background Requirements:
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
Expert level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
2+ years experience working as a graphic designer in an agency or organizational setting.
Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills with an excellent eye for detail
Strong knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and digital
Knowledge of animation, motion graphics, UI/UX design
Proficiency in standard desktop applications to include all Microsoft Office products.
Other Considerations:
Conflict of Interest: All Oklahoma Lottery Commission employees are prohibited from having a financial interest in any vendor doing business or proposing to do business with the Commission.
Background Investigation: A background investigation and credit analysis will be conducted on each applicant who has reached the final selection process prior to employment by the Commission. The results of a background investigation shall be classified as confidential and not subject to an Open Records request.
