The Global Spread Products (GSP) In-Business Risk (IBR) desk is the Front Office team responsible for monitoring and managing in-business market, counterparty, and capital risk across all of GSP. In addition, the team is tasked with optimizing the businesss return on capital by assisting business heads with extensive analysis of capital usage. GSP covers the trading businesses across corporate credit, municipals, mortgages, and other securitized product asset classes. GSP IBR is seeking an exceptionally motivated individual to support the desks mission as it continues to grow in scope and size.
The individual will be expected to work across all areas of the teams responsibilities which will include:
+ Managing market risk related concerns as related to the businesss aggregated risk appetite and risk limits
+ Assisting in trading the centralized Risk Mitigation Hedging book to hedge current or thematic tail risks across all GSP products
+ Tracking credit risk concerns and monitoring individual counterparty exposures and stresses; working across sales and trading desks to set counterparty stress loss and risk limits
+ Computing capital for the overall GSP business, gaining comprehensive understanding of related models; working closely with trading desk heads to formulate and execute capital optimization strategies
+ Working with Risk, Finance, Quants and IT team to enhance existing models and automate manual processes; collaborating with different stakeholders to improve existing risk and capital infrastructure
**Required skills:**
+ Strong ability and interest to learn and understand new asset classes
+ Strong ability to manage, prioritize, and communicate with internal partners, highest level of professionalism and business acumen
+ Experience with trading and risk management of cash and derivative products
+ Very strong creative problem-solving skills, ability to understand complex ideas and projects, strong ability to identify, articulate issues and advocate solutions at both high and granular levels
+ Ability to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines with changing priorities
+ Fluency in MS Excel, VBA, and basic programming skills (e.g, python) is preferred
+ Strong attention to detail; self-motivated and inquisitive with an interest in financial markets
+ 2+ years of experience in trading or related function.
+ Bachelor degree or higher; study in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar quantitative fields heavily preferred
