The Role:
Citi Velocity is a key asset and tool that gives unprecedented access to capital markets intelligence and execution abilities to approved clients and professionals. As part of a broader transformation in the group there has been a major piece of work focused on improving the UX and UI for Velocity however it has become clear that whilst usability has improved the results being generated through its search functionality are not as strong as they could be.
Therefore, we are looking to appoint a highly experienced and talented product leader who will be responsible for defining the global strategy for search covering areas like content repositories, data tagging, algorithm improvements and more.
This individual will need to look at the existing capabilities, identify challenges and opportunities and create the roadmap that will transform the search functionality for one of the industrys leading platforms.
In this role, the person will truly have the opportunity to shape this function as well as have the opportunity to build/test new ideas.
This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer for ICG and will work closely with the Global Head of Citi Commercial Bank Technology who will be responsible for building the Tech infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
+ Experience managing across multi-function and/or global business to pinpoint commercial needs and areas to be implemented to increase search functionality
+ Create product strategy and roadmaps while responding to the needs of product partners, executing roadmaps, and collaborating with teams of engineers and engineering directors
+ Partner with executives to ensure seamless product development, co-creation and launch.
+ Work with third party tech and platform vendors to support the right approach
+ Functional experience in data, algorithm and tagging. Look at how the algorithm should work, how they tag and store information/data
+ Managing relationships with executives and C-level leaders
Experience & Education:
+ Financial services industry experience preferred
+ Software Engineering
+ Statistical/data background Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree a plus
