The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics group's Super Compute Platform Validation Team is looking for someone to join us who is interested in delivering the next generation of supercomputing. Our solutions are being used today to solve some of the world's most challenging scientific problems such as climate research, bio-medical research, genome analysis, renewable energy, and other areas that require the world's fastest supercomputers to tackle. Intel is delivering Exascale class systems, and we need your help to deliver the next generation in HPC.
We have a need for a motivated, individual to join our Systems Administration, DevOps and Infrastructure team as an HPC Systems Administrator. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work across a wide swath of technologies, from racking and standing up small/medium-sized clusters with multiple network configurations, working on the setup and support of cutting-edge development platforms, deploying and maintaining compute infrastructure, and developing the automation and applications that support the operation of these systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Install and help maintain cluster and development platform HW/SW
Develop Ansible code to provision cluster and development platforms with the latest software available
Troubleshoot and Debug bring-up automation against OpenHPC and vendor OS HPC systems
Partner with our validation team to assist with platform validation efforts
Build solutions to enable tracking of software deployments and changes
Support the backup and recovery of critical infrastructure and development systems
Debug board level components, specifically server platforms
Respond to support requests for system issues and general user questions
Debug and correct FW and HW related issues on latest Intel platforms

Qualifications
This is an entry-level position, and will be compensated accordingly
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Project / Technology Management or another directly relevant field with 1+ years industry experience in one, or more, of the following areas:
Linux (SLES, CentOS, Ubuntu)
Linux command-line, BASH in particular
Hardware, Software, or Server support
Coding or scripting with Perl, Python, PIP, JSON or a similar language
Preferred Qualifications:
Servers/Clusters/HPC HW experience
Performing firmware/BIOS updates
System backup and restore processes
Network design and support knowledge
USB Blaster II, Dediprog, and I2C Bus analyzers
EFI shell, EFI utilities/SW, and BIOS configuration
Intel debug tools: ITP/XTP, pythonSV, and Lauterbach
HW reworks experience
Configuration Management, preferably using Ansible
Agile software development methodologies - Kanban, Scrum, Scrumban
HPC systems, OpenHPC

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
