Better requires process discipline and simplification
As a member of Cyber defense center team, you would be responsible for activities related to monitoring & responding to security events. You would receive, research, triage, and document all security events and alerts as they are received. You would provide individual support for multiple security-related platforms and technologies, interfacing with others within the IT organization, as well as other internal business units and external customers/partners. The events will be generated from endpoints, networks, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, threat intelligence platforms, employees, third parties and other sources.
For a critical role like this, you must have 2+ years of total experience in information security monitoring & response, performing initial triage on Security incidents. Youll have experience working with SIEM systems, threat intelligence platforms, security automation & orchestration solutions, intrusion detection, prevention systems (IDS/IPS), file integrity monitoring (FIM), DLP & other network, system monitoring tools. Youll have working knowledge with network systems, security principles, applications risk and compliance initiatives such as GLBA, PCI, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR. You would understand malware & various attack vectors commonly employed by hackers, general information security principles. Firm understanding of various attacks, such as, phishing, SQLi, XSS, buffer overflow techniques, and data leakage, providing tier one Security Operations Center (SOC) support to WU.
