As an Infrastructure Engineer Sr Cassandra DBA within PNC's Enterprise Technology Hosting & Engineer organization, you will be part of a team and report into a Manager.

This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii, Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.

Support Database Platform Services in architecture, development, and deployment of Cassandra Database Technology in high criticality level & SLA Environments.
Install, Configure, Monitor, Upgrade and Maintain Cassandra databases in production and non-production environments
Extensive Experience in Multi-Datacenter Cassandra Enterprise Implementations (including storage structure, High-Availability Solutions, Replication, and Production DR)
Manage, Support, maintain database technology and infrastructure in accordance with approved enterprise standard, and compliance.
Database Administration and ensure continuous 24x7 Operation and Availability to support the mission critical business applications, participating in on-call rotation.
Participate in Database Maintenance and Disaster Recovery Exercises
Provide technical expertise and hands-on support in consolidation and migration of databases to new hardware and platforms
Experience with Pearl, Bash and/or Java scripting
Basic Qualifications
Experience with Cassandra Database at an Enterprise Level
Experience with Shell Scripting and/or Python
Strong Knowledge of Linux and Cassandra utilities
Ability to troubleshoot production Cassandra Issues

Additional Preferred Qualifications
MongoDB version 3.6-4.2
Experience utilizing MongoDB Ops Manager
MMS configuration experience, configuring and monitoring replica sets, optimizing database/query performance
Experience Performing Security measures, backups and restore backups
User Management creating users, assigning roles, managing permissions, etc.
Experience implementing and supporting LDAP authorization and authentication with MongoDB
Experience supporting MongoDB databases scaled across data centers.
Experience supporting MongoDB Shards.
Experience with backup and restore of MongoDB databases using LVM snapshots and Ops Manager backups
In-depth understanding of MongoDB HA strategies, including replica sets.
Experience in writing MongoDB Schema using Mongos.
Experience with setting and tuning MongoDB system parameters
