Citigroup Markets & Bankings FXLM Tech team is a high-intensity product development unit that defines, designs and develops critical front-office/back-office applications for the Global FX & Local Markets business.


The Development Team Lead will take up the responsibility of delivering projects within the space of front-office/back-office Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets (MM), Derivatives, Fixed Incomes (FI) applications.


**Qualifications:**


+ 5+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry

+ Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

+ Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

+ Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements


**Skills:**


+ _Strong Programming Skills_

+ _Good understanding of app development procedures and concepts_

+ _Ability to guide the juniors_


**Technical Essentials:**


+ _Excellent work experience in Java 8 or Higher version_

+ _Excellent knowledge in SQL/PLSQL Basics or MongoDB NOSQL_

+ _Hands on experience in Spring, Spring Boot Framework_

+ _Java performance tuning, Threads, Collections_

+ _Knowledge of any J2EE application server_

+ _Writing and executing automated unit tests using TestNG or JUnit_

+ _Ability to design service oriented, load balanced, high available and high throughput solutions_

+ _HTML5/CSS3_

Global FX and Local Markets (FXLM) is a dynamic and high-performing division of Citis Markets business. The Tech group within FXLM is a Sales-Product Management-Product Development division headquartered in London, and its development & support teams are located in Chennai. This team manages mission-critical applications that drive deal booking, risk management, eCommerce and analytical applications across multiple asset classes - Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets (MM), Fixed Incomes (FI) and Derivatives. The team also provides production support for the various applications and the infrastructure that they run on. The unit in Chennai is led by the Business Head who reports to the Head of FXLM in London. The Heads of Development, Production Support, Infrastructure, Administration and Business Management report to the Business Head.


We work on business critical high availability application solutions for the FXLM business that are deployed across 80+ countries and power our global FX & Local Markets business. Our applications are considered amongst the best-in-class within the industry, with our eCommerce and analytical products continuing to win industry awards year after year.


Our team in India is about 450 now and plans to expand to 500+ in the next few years. The senior members of the team are permanent staff and we make extensive use of contract staff in our delivery, including at PL level. As part of the expansion, the team is looking to hire top-performing technologists with proven track record at Senior developer level, reporting to the Development Project Manager
