The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.


MONET team is responsible for the design and build-out (and ongoing support) of a global, multi-product, multi-entity operational margin system used to service our ICG business areas. Our system is built using state of the art design and technologies, runs 24 x 6, processes a billion+ transactions monthly, services 200+ users and interacts with 50+ systems in batch and real-time. We provide a variety of utilities (online, workflow, electronic, reporting) to facilitate a scalable and controlled operational environment for our clients.


The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and helping to execute on the day-to-day technical work needed to define, design, and develop our MONET platform.


They would need to be extremely knowledge and hands-on in business, global margin, and technology.


Understanding the business area and user requirements - Study and understand the existing programs.


Performing program design, coding, and Development - Performing unit and integration testing. Producing documentation based on the company's standards.


Evaluation and Recommendation for new technologies and updating versions of existing ones.


Design reusable frameworks - Environment management and layout design.


Unified Development environment (Developers systems as well as servers) - Continuous Integrations Building/maintaining.


**esponsibilities:**


+ Design and Implement **DevOps practices (Continuous Integration, Continuous testing, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Monitoring, Continuous Delivery).**

+ Design, Build and Implement CI/CD on-premises pipelines, within containersDesign, Develop & Deploy scripts to stitch multiple project components to manage automated pipelines.

+ Perform upgrade and patches installations and participate in deployments, production support, environment migration projects and help team with Site Reliability Engineering.

+ Drive efficiencies around People, Processes and Tools.

+ Ability to communicate with team & the stakeholders and to collaborate with cross functional teams.

+ Ensure high availability and reliability of Production and non-PROD environments.

+ Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code

+ Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems

+ Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.

+ Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging

+ Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts

+ Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions

+ Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents

+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


**Desired Skills**


+ Experience working in **Java and J2EE frameworks, Shell Script, PL/SQL.**

+ Experience in using Git, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory and BitBucket.

+ Experience in creating and maintaining batch processes using Autosys.

+ Hands-on experience on containers - Docker / Kubernetes and docker compose skills.

+ Understanding of Micro-services architecture in a cloud and containerized environments.

+ Understanding of integrating feedback loops from AppDynamics, ELK, Splunk monitoring tools, aggregation of logs.

+ Good Knowledge on build and release process from source control to production release and expertise with Automation of Infrastructure provisioning and deployments.

+ Automation of day-to-day activities with scripting and tools.

+ Analyze and address applications vulnerabilities / security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging.

+ Understanding of Application Security concepts and practical experience of enforcing security of Web applications.

+ Understanding of Network topology and designing of High Availability applications.

+ Understanding of Linux RHEL 7 , Windows Server and OpenShift environments.

+ High analytical and troubleshooting Skills.

+ Good Problem Solving Skills.


**Qualifications:**


+ 5+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry

+ 3+ Yeas of experience DevOps / DevSecOps Ro

+ Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

+ Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

+ Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

+ Strong in technology concepts and best practices.

+ Excellent analytical with the ability to resolve complex issues
