Job Description
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Lead development of advanced predictive models including machine learning models, deep learning models, NPL, etc. to support analytics initiatives;
Establish and maintain model repository which captures, tracks and dynamically diagnoses models-in-use;
Full cycle Web App development for modeling output and deliverables;
Provide guidance to Analytics Team on conducting advanced quantitative analyses to facilitate effective targeting, segmentation, and identification of opportunities around cross-sell/up-sell, retention and marketing program optimization;
Lead complex data mining projects during creation, evaluation, and testing; and continuously improve machine learning usage and other modeling concepts;
Innovate and find creative ways to source and use data to support modeling efforts utilizing structured and unstructured data; and big data technologies;
Handle data sets from disparate sources using appropriate engineering methodologies, computational frameworks and systems;
Work with cross-functional global team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas;
Present findings, share insights, and make recommendations that impact sales; and communicate results in written, oral and presentation formats;
Provide expertise on analytics concepts for broader advanced analytics group, and inspire adoption of advanced analytics, data engineering and data science across organization;
Support recruitment, training, development, coaching and retention of best-in-class analytics talent;
Mentor junior Data Scientists; and
Supervise two subordinate Associate Data Scientists.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or related field and 2 years of experience in a data science role.
Experience must include:
2 years of experience developing probabilistic models using data mining and machine learning algorithms including GLMs, GBMs, SVMs, and NLP;
2 years of experience building models using unstructured data such as free text, images, and voice data;
2 years of experience with data analysis using Python, R, SQL and SAS;
2 years of data engineering and data management experience including data transformation and data manipulation;
2 years of experience presenting data reports statistical analysis;
1 year of experience in the retirement and investment industry;
1 year of experience recommending system and Neural Networks for model development validation, testing and implementation.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
