US Remote What You'll Do: As a Technical Consultant, you will responsible for designing and delivery of on-premise and cloud-based Data Platform solutions to support the digital transformation of enterprise systems. In this role, current and future data management strategies must be developed and implemented to enable relational databases, event data streaming, DBaaS, DataOps and data pipelines. Collaboration with product managers, product owners, scrum masters and agile teams will be required to provide technical input to achieve competitive client solutions. * Play a part in the creation of the overall strategy for Oracle databases and interface with other database architects to achieve our digital strategy objectives * Evaluate and refine the design, architecture, and processes for Oracle databases. * Assist, mentor, and train other team members. * Be part of 24x7 oncall rotations * Aid with all critical issues that require engineering expertise * Perform Oracle server configurations and performance tuning * Experience with other tools and utilities such as SQL Developer, OEM, Qlik, Foglight, Python/Shell, & Ansible programming * Work closely with support teams, systems and business leads to promote technical and functional upgrades, enhancements and best practices/industry standards. * Focus on continuous improvement to drive a seamless, modernized associate/user experience * Communicate effectively to Senior Leaders and associated departments such as Data Governance and Enterprise Architecture What Experience You Need: * Very strong architectural knowledge of Storage, Server, Network and Security configurations for Oracle * Very strong Oracle RAC architecture knowledge. * Very strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills * Strong architectural knowledge of replication technologies. * Strong architectural knowledge of backup strategies for DB and VLDB * Experienced with Oracle on Virtual RHEL environments * Strong OEM configuration and management experience * Strong PL/SQL experience * Experienced in query performance tuning * Experienced in a regulated change-controlled environment * Minimum of 10 years of experience with Oracle Database. * Understanding of Product Teams and Agile methodology and practices. * Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability interact with business stakeholders * 2021 FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For By Great Place to Work and FORTUNE Magazine Edward Jones was named No. 20 on the list. * From FORTUNE 2021 FORTUNE Media IP Limited.
