A&M are looking for an outstanding Payroll Specialist to join our global team. The role will report into the EMEA Payroll Manager while working closely with the rest of the global payroll team based in London, US and other locations. The right candidate will also work closely alongside HR, Benefits, Finance and the Business with an immediate focus on processing multiple monthly payrolls for the UK, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands as well as other European countries.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that starters, leavers, leaves of absence and transfers are all processed correctly. Preparation of employee related information for input to Payroll Providers.
Review the output reports to ensure all items have been processed correctly and are in line with expectation. Process manual payroll payments as needed.
Adhere to payroll cut-off dates and ensure that SLA and deadlines with payroll provider and Business Partners are met.
Liaise with payroll provider to ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately. Work with payroll provider and internal payroll management to ensure that payroll legislative changes are applied timely.
Book accounting entries arising from the monthly payrolls
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Payroll Legislation and internal policies
Respond to employees' questions and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
Requirements:
In depth knowledge of UK payroll and understanding of relevant HMRC legislation
Charter Institute of Payroll Professional Payroll (CIPP) Technician /Advanced Payroll Technician certificate desirable
A number of years of experience processing European payroll.
Experience with Workday Human Capital Management, Time Tracking, Absence Management and Payroll system
Experience with financial reporting System a plus
Good communication skills both verbally and written
Ability to work independently, be part of a remote team
Ability to provide excellent customer service, be proactive, flexible, adaptable while problem solving when required
Must be organized and adaptable to crucial time frame and changes
Excellent skills in Microsoft excel intermediate or advanced
Experience working in a fast-paced, growing environment and across time zones would be advantageous
