**PERIMETR SECURITY OPERATIONS - Level 3 Specialist**


PERIMETR SECURITY OPERATIONS - Level 3 Specialist is a senior level firewall operations role to provide day-to-day support to the business and their data flow through firewalls, prepare firewalls and proxy in accordance with standards, and be part of a 24/7 support team. There is significant interaction with engineering, Technology teams, Operations staff, Application Support and Vendors.


Responsibilities:


+ Provide support to perimeter security infrastructure, which includes firewall, proxy and remote access systems

+ Investigation, documentation and resolution of outages to critical business systems that may be caused by firewall, proxy, or remote access systems

+ Escalation of issues to, and tracking of progress in conjunction with internal engineering teams, vendors, or other technical resource teams

+ Working incidents or projects beyond the scope of the level 2 team which may include scheduling multiple changes, software upgrades, or configuration activities to resolve

+ Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services

+ Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service for firewall platforms

+ Provide support, trouble-shooting and traffic confirmation for firewall platforms

+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.


Qualifications:


+ 5+ years of experience in firewall support, with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement.

+ Experienced with Checkpoint and PaloAlto Networks firewalls, Configuration and troubleshooting skillsets.

+ Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP data flows and troubleshooting.

+ Understanding of network routing, including BGP and troubleshooting required.

+ Skilled in use and interpretation of tcpdump/pcap/wireshark.

+ Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with attention to detail, ability to work in a demanding environment.

+ Preferred to also have working knowledge of Bluecoat proxy, and Cisco Firepower with AnyConnect client.

+ Relevant certifications preferred: Checkpoint and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
