Our Role:

Our Technology Solutions Group (TSG) is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership.You will need to have in-depth technical knowledge as a full-stack developer to support existing and build out new modular and scalable applications, for Investment Operations team, that conform to architecture standards set within TSG. We are looking for a dedicated developer who is comfortable working with large internal and external data sets and freely exchanges ideas to enhance existing systems. Your Impact:

  • Develop quality front-end and back-end applications in an agile environment and create prototypes and POCs (Proof of Concept) to validate, promote, and define the technology strategies.

  • Align with the Investment Operations Solution Lead, Product Owner and Scrum Master in assessing business needs and transforming them into scalable applications.

  • Work in an iterative/Agile environment as a good team player.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Build and maintain code to manage data received from heterogenous data formats including web-based sources, internal/external databases, flat files, heterogenous data formats (binary, ASCII).

  • Hands on coding experience in technologies such as Java 8/11, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Hibernate, SQL, Python, VBA, Node.js, JavaScript, Typescript, Angular 2+, REST API, Docker, and AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, ECS, etc.

  • Research emerging technologies and develop POCs

  • Work with the latest CI/CD DevOps deployment model

  • Build interfaces for supporting evolving and new applications and accommodating new data sources and types of data.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in building core financial trading/reporting systems using technologies such as Java and Python.

  • Java enterprise development using Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Hibernate, Gradle and Microservices.

  • Hands on development experience in building GUI using JavaScript, Typescripts, Angular 2+, Web Components, Node.js, HTML5 and SASS/CSS3.

  • Docker or equivalent containerization experience is a plus.

  • AWS Cloud experience using services such as Glue, S3, EC2, ALB, Kinesis, Lambda, CloudWatch, Fargate Hadoop / Spark is a plus.

  • Hands on experience with AWS Aurora and Snowflake is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Linux/Unix/Windows environments is required.

  • Experience with BitBucket, CI/CD with Jenkins, Gradle, and Git is desired.

  • Familiarity with security concepts authentication, authorization, and SSL is a plus.

  • Direct experience supporting front office/middle office end-users and sound understanding of capital markets within Fixed Income is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think out of the box and offer alternatives both independently and in a team-setting.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet important deadlines and work well under pressure.

  • Takes ownership of assignments, with a proactive mindset and an eye toward identifying opportunities to improve processes and project outcomes.

  • Familiarity with Agile principles and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, with proven ability to build relationships and influence decision making to drive desired outcomes.

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
