Role and Responsibilities
Job Summary / Overview:
This position provides support and code-based leverage for engineering activities in Photo through the development of software infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a solid engineering background with a well-developed ability to think critically about general problems backed by a strong coding knowledge.
Specific Job Duties:
- Developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting internal photo systems and some fab wide systems
- Fielding engineer requests for data/scripts and creating solutions in a timely manner
- Creating innovative approaches for reliable architecture, suitable for supporting a high uptime factory environment
- Evaluate priority of various projects based on the monetary return on investment (ROI)
- Flexibility to reprioritize and switch gears in a fast paced environment
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field (required)
2+ years in professional development environments
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL and Javascript
Knowledge of git, kanban/jira
Windows and Office product experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic statistics knowledge
Strong communication skills to showcase their work and to train others
Ability to work with small team well
Basic understanding of how the photo organization works as a whole and how each internal photo group is interconnected
Knowledge of software architecture design best practices
Django or flask experience (preferred)
Understanding of how modeling works (preferred)
4+ years software development experience (preferred)
Spotfire (similar to tableau) knowledge is a plus
S3, boto, knowledge is a plus
