Job Description
AXG Super Compute Platforms team's vision is to democratize supercomputing for all and be the first on the market with Zetta scale offerings across super compute systems as well as GPU accelerator cards.
The SCP Modeling and Measurement team is seeking a Power and Performance Modeling Architect who can help drive the creation of performance models in system C for the super compute platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of performance modeling tools, applications and workload analysis, performance bottlenecks, critical path analysis, software coding standards, and platforms for both HPC and AI workflows.
The candidate should possess a deep knowledge in one, or more, of the following:
Linux OS scheduler, priority based task management, memory management with hands on development experience at the OS level and kernel
Analysis and tuning of workloads at the multi-kernel level in the areas of HPC simulation and AI workloads using such frameworks as PyTorch and Tensorflow
Exploration of how multi-kernel interacts with these workloads and actively design and develop multi-kernel optimizations to improve performance and scaling
Focus on adapting an operating system under development to meet the specific demands of these emerging workloads on supercomputers and drive the design of operating systems and systems software into the post-exascale area
Creating performance models to simulateor new features at the system level for post exascale systems
Behavioral Skills Sought:

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a directly related field with 4+ years OR a PhD in Computer Science with 2+ years of experience in parallel computing specializing in operating systems and systems software for exascale parallel system, along with one, or more, of the following:Â
HPC simulation and with AI ML and DL frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow
Linux development environment including use of git and kernel level testing and debugging
SOC design, CPU, GPU, Fabrics, I/O interfaces and interconnects
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:Â
Multi-kernel operating systems knowledge
Parallel programming experience with MPI and OpenMP
GPU knowledge and programming
Software development and system modeling
Knowledge of standard software development practices requirements design development validation
Algorithm analysis, parallel programming models as well as programming ability
