Provide operational requirements, review, and signoff for WIFI designs in AT&Ts internal and domestic Enterprise Networks. Design equipment and software certification testing. Evaluate, manage, and develop mitigation solutions for new technology introduction risks. Responsible for the development, testing, training and handoff of detailed methods and procedures for new technology introduction to partner implementation organizations. Utilize Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automation development to enable rapid feature deployment. Utilize playbooks and programming languages to create custom tools for network operations and address operational gaps. Develop troubleshooting guides and provide coaching/development training for new technology and designs. Gather and analyze relevant network element field data to validate the expected improvements and features of the field changes.


Key network support functions include, but not limited to, resolving critical WIFI outages, evaluating failure modes, and leading root cause analysis investigations. Care for overall health of the WIFI network via the development of network performance metrics; advanced data analytics; and identification, tracking and resolution of chronic issues. Requires 24x7 on call from escalating organizations. Provides the technical troubleshooting and leadership skills required to recover from the most complex WIFI problems in real time, directing the activities of technical resources from Tier 2, Technology Operations, and the vendors to restore service. Drive problem management initiatives to solve complex issues that span multiple organizations which may include problem recreation, identification of fixes, certification of fixes and/or design changes.


Responsible for all production WIFI equipment and software vendor management relationships ensuring objectives are met, including vendor performance feedback during contract negotiations. Will lead cross-functional teams in support of technology insertion and root cause analysis investigations and will be expected to be the technical subject matter expert on special projects.


May interact with customers to outline or recommend technical solutions for their business or explaining root cause of a network event.


**Required Skills and Experience:**


+ Required Degree: Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Security Operations, Cybersecurity or Technology equivalent.

+ Deep understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, and security, including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN standards and industry best practices

+ Extensive experience managing and supporting Cisco WLAN controllers and Access Points.

+ Knowledge of Cisco devices such as Identity Service Engine (ISE), Prime, DNAC, and SDN

+ Fundamental knowledge of IP routing/switching protocols and authentication.

+ Experience testing wireless products including access points, controllers and other WLAN infrastructure and client devices for evaluation

+ Extensive knowledge of security protocols and authentication (Wi-Fi Protected Access [WPA2], Extensible Authentication Protocol-Transport Layer Security [EAP-TLS], 802.1x, Authentication, Authorization, Accounting [AAA]) and hands-on experience with Remote Authentication Dial-in User Server/Services (RADIUS) infrastructure (ISE) and Multi-Factor Authentication.


+ Hands-on experience with WIFI troubleshooting and site-survey tools

+ Experience troubleshooting issues utilizing Wireshark or other packet capture and analysis tools.

+ Experience with scripting languages and tools UNIX/LINUX/SHELL/PERL/EXPECT/Python and Ansible playbooks

+ Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, frequently changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment

+ Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across multiple teams

+ Strong work ethic: ability to work independent of direct supervision

+ Must be available for On-Call Support.


**Preferred Certifications:**


+ CCNP/CCIE Wireless

+ CNA Wireshark


**Required Qualifications** -


+ Entry into this title will require Technical Title Plan (TTP) Board Approval.

+ Candidate shall have a PhD in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

+ Five or more years experience with networks, network protocols, and IP networks and at least seven years of experience with web development using PHP, Perl, Action script and Java programming through all phases of the software development lifecycle

+ A strong understanding of security technology in the areas of VPN, firewalls, proxy, and IDS/IPS as well as experience in Linux, Solaris and Windows

+ Candidate must have a strong communication skills both verbally and written as well as strong problem solving skills

+ Ability to balance and prioritize work and work independently and as part of a team

+ Previous experience as a system tester and experience in a lab test environment


**Desired Qualifications** -


+ CISSP, CCNA certification, or GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)

+ Experience with any/all of following software tools: PHP, Perl, Action Script, Java, JavaScript, Linux, XML, CVS/SVN, Linux Shell Scripts, and Oracle

+ Check Point VSX experience

+ Crossbeam, Fortinet and Cisco configuration experience

+ TS/SCI Government Clearance

+ Network and Hardware support experience as well as database design

+ ISP Services Planning and Architecture

+ ICDS Service Planning and Architecture

+ ISP level data networks experience

+ Hands-on experience with performance and security test gear

+ Understanding of Internet security threats and mitigation techniques
