Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Principal / Sr. Principal Software Verification Engineer with the Software Engineering organization based out of **Redondo Beach, CA.**

Enthusiastic, energetic people wanting to constantly expand the limits of their skill set and domain knowledge. Program is cutting-edge, fast moving, success-oriented, and professionally fulfilling. Ability to collaborate in small teams is a must. Platform to be based on LEON processors running the RTEMS operating system, test environment is based in Python. Focus is on creating tests which verify the functionality and sell off the requirements in a Test-Like-You-Fly manner, meaning understanding the system as a whole and how it will be operated.

Test coverage and traceability. Creating tools which support the test environment as well as for use in deployment. Multiple HW configurations being managed and tested against. Utilizing a program-specific Test Set which simulates various HW interfaces in concert with final HW and the Python test scripts for ultimate sell-off. Experience with TCL a bonus.

_This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Engineer level or Sr. Principal Engineer level based on the qualifications listed below._

Basic Qualifications - Principal Software Verification Engineer

+ Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5+ years software development experience, or Masters Degree in a STEM discipline and 3+ years of software development experience
+ Strong working experience using Python
+ Experience as software reliability engineer or software test engineer

Basic Qualifications - Sr. Principal Software Verification Engineer

+ Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years software development experience, or Masters Degree in a STEM discipline and 7+ years of software development experience
+ Strong working experience using Python
+ Experience as software reliability engineer or software test engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Computer Networking
+ Experience working in a Linux environment
+ Github actions/bitbucket webhooks and pipelines developing CI/CD systems.
+ Experience working with DevOps, Docker, MySQL, SLURM, YAML, Go

Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00Salary Range 2: $125,800.00 - $188,600.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
