**Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at the Palmdale CA facility**

**Position** **Summary/Responsibilities:**

Serves as liaison between Program management and planning, technical managers, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and customers. Potential job duties may also include, but are not limited to:

+ Working side by side with the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads on all program reporting and executive level presentations.
+ Ensuring that IPT processes and products result in quality, compliant, affordable, and on-time deliverables that achieve customer satisfaction.
+ Ensures implementation of new processes and implements process improvement changes.
+ Capturing, tracking and managing meeting action items to closure.
+ Creating, maintaining, and updating meeting attendance lists and rhythm.
+ Supports Risk and Opportunity management of the IPT and program.
+ Performing/Assisting as Cost Account Manager with Technical IPT lead.
+ Adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost and schedule control methodologies and tools.
+ Management of suppliers to meet program objectives.
+ Adherence to all internal processes, policies and applicable industry standards.
+ Ensuring IPT understands and adheres to contract scope and manages change through control board activities.
+ Development and adherence to plans and schedules.

**Basic Qualifications at the Principal Level:**

+ Bachelors degree, 6 years experience supporting U.S. Government contracts or project management in other industries Or 4 years with Master's Degree OR 10 years experience in lieu of a college degree.
+ Proficiency with MS Office applications
+ The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions and performance.
+ The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shard, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program stakeholder needs.
+ The ability to identify and address program impacts through systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.
+ The ability to monitor/control program plans, cost and schedule baselines that meet both program contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations.
+ Active DoD Top Secret clearance or higher (granted or renewed within the last 6 years) and ability to obtain special access clearances.

**Basic Qualifications at the Sr. Principal Level:**

+ Bachelors degree, 10 years experience supporting U.S. Government contracts or project management in other industries Or 8 years with Master's Degree OR 14 years experience in lieu of a college degree.
+ Proficiency with MS Office applications

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Masters Degree from an accredited university
+ Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office tool suite
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar
+ Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadership
+ Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience
+ SharePoint experience

Salary Range: $83,800.00 - $125,800.00 Salary Range 2: $103,900.00 - $155,900.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
