Intertek is searching for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Connected Worldteam based out of our Clients Site in Irving, TX.

Overview

This is an open-ended contract position is primarily a technical testing role working with a team of wireless software testers, application testers, and developers. The primary objective for this candidate will be to participate in the testing process individually and/or in a group, through development and execution of test scenarios, as well as regression testing and problem reporting on application software products over the verified development platforms.

Scope of Work

• Perform quality assurance testing on various products, particularly wireless devices.

• Capture and analyze network protocols such as HTTP, SIP, and device logs to determine root cause of defect

• Use troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark

• Perform Smoke Tests, Integration Tests, Regression Tests, End-to-End tests, Ad-Hoc; manual and automated

• Execute test cases or exploratory testing on Android and iOS smartphones
  Accurately determine root cause of issues and assign to appropriate group

• Work close with development, maintenance, and business teams on requirements, builds, and defects

• Work with android and iOS smartphones, desk support phones, VoIP and SIP technology

• Develop test cases to ensure full test coverage

• Use QA tools like redmine and testrail

• Participate in daily, weekly, meetings with managers, team members, clients

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor in Telecommunication, Computer Science, or similar area of study.

• 1+ years of experience testing Android and iOS devices

• Basic knowledge of:

  • Mobile applications

  • QA testing

  • Wireshark
