Position Overview:
This is a R&D Engineer/Scientist role for\rleading or supporting new product development and productivity improvement\rprojects for Honeywell€™s Advanced Materials. The position will be based in Pottsville PA, USA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Polymer process/product development projects - conversion of PCTFE polymer to film/blister, bottles, vials and developing applications.
Coordinate support of PCTFE value chain projects - validation of conversion to and performance in films, bottles and other applications.
Coordinate R&D support for Pottsville plant process improvement and/or trouble shooting.
Contribute to intellectual property developments for polymer processes and applications.
Develop and maintain broad understanding of polymer processing commercial and academic development Intellectual property landscape.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor€™s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
1+ years of experience in Polymer R&D or Polymer Process development or improvement
1+ years of experience in R&D Technology development and commercialization experiences
WE VALUE
Master€™s in Chemical or Polymer Engineering, Polymer Chemistry or Polymer Physics
Doctorate in Chemical or Polymer Engineering, Polymer Chemistry or Polymer Physics
Fundamental understanding of polymer structure/processing.
Project management and leadership experience
Data driven decision processes
Strong communication skills (multi-mode €“ verbal, written, data)
Fluoro Polymer processing experience
Polymer (film/blister) extrusion experience
Polymer (film/blister) product development experience
Experience in design of experiments, product design, and customer applications support.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work and function effectively in cross functional teams
Self-starter, with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
Track record of successful contributions to products/projects in a matrix organization.
