Position Summary


Why join our team?

This role is part of SEUK IM division and will have a key part in ensuring the efficient operational management of within the SCM function. The role will work within a team of SCM specialists responsible for managing the day to day SCM relationship with a number of key accounts. A core part of the role will be working with each of the sales team to ensure accurate forecasting is in place and that we run the function efficiently within established process. In addition, project managing key activities within the program; such as new launches in channels, end of life management and ensuring correct WOS management and sell out plan adherence.

This role is designed to support and develop the SCM team and ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently and accurately with required escalations made in time to effect change.


Role and Responsibilities


What will this role achieve?


Building and maintaining the top-level Sell-in and Sell-out forecasts for MX products in the category. This will require co-working with various teams (Product Management/Market Intelligence/Marketing/Finance etc.) and carrying out in depth analysis to updating the system with the details of the forecasts.


Coordinate closely with HQ, Factory and 3rd party logistics service providers to manage inbound supply, highlighting any shortage issues and providing recommendations. The individual also expect to contribute to the ongoing improvement initiatives around the current supply chain process, on hand ageing inventory and production PO proposal processes.


Working in collaboration with relevant partners (Commercial planning team, Product team, Finance function and Global Operation Centre (GOC) / Export team at HQ as well as factories). You will build robust forecasts, planning, execute plan, and ensure that supply plans adequately support this. Complete assignment in timely manner and manage any outstanding work.


What will be your key deliverables?

  • Responsible for short/long-term (12 weeks) Demand sell-in/sell-out Forecasting.

  • Prepare and lead weekly SCM Day meeting with other functional teams to present risks and opportunities. Coordinate business actions to follow up through out the week.

  • Monitoring and analysing actual performance versus planning identify issues and translate it out to business with recommendation, including key performance indicators and data simulation for management decision making.

  • Planning accurately to manage optimal channel stocks in order to meet agreed targets (PSI management)

  • Submission for month end forecast (Sokbo) and closely monitor long term target planning with PM (Shillheng)

  • Liaising with HQ and factory in regards to product availability, confirming production schedules & expected shipment dates.

  • Liaise with 3rd party logistics company regarding inbound/outbound including securing booking slots.

  • Working closely with the finance team in regards to credit control/limitation, billing/invoice reference, etc.

  • Understanding of Samsung specific systems with depth of matrix and proactive / independent approach to problem solving.

  • Handling day to day ad-hoc requests to support the business from a Supply Chain perspective.


Skills and Qualifications


What do we need for this role?

  • Advanced MS Office knowledge (specifically Excel) to produce accurate reports

  • Data Analysis to understand and present the findings to the partners

  • Understanding of business sensitivity and able to execute tasks with strong attention to detail.

  • Comfortable presenting to wider audience, including senior management.

  • Strong organizational and communication manner / skills.

  • Leading where necessary, challenging different ideas with analysis and logic.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Attention to detail


Essential Hard Skills Required:


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Excellent skills in SAP, Microsoft office packages; in particular Excel

  • Strong numeracy skills

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Demonstrable Experience of creating & executing a structured channel plan and in managing that to successful conclusion

  • Good project management skills, and demonstrable skills of achieving results through cross-functional teams
