Senior Accounting Analyst (2202532) – Huntsville, AL

 

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for you will be responsible for product cost development, forecasting, budgeting, and providing guidance to the Huntsville Operations team for how to drive efficiency improvements and to Marketing to support commercial profitability calculations.

Formula for Success

  • Utilizing your knowledge of cost accounting, you will develop product costing standards that appropriately reflect the processes in the manufacturing operations.

  • Interfacing regularly with marketing on profitability analyses, you will ensure product costs are properly accounted for in commercial pricing decisions.  You will also provide input for the Global Pricing Tool (GPT) to ensure that accurate cost data is used as the basis for profitability calculations.

  • Working hand in hand with the Site Controller and Business Controlling, you will develop the site budget and provide the key inputs to support the monthly forecasting process.

  • Using your analytical skills, you will develop and analyze cost reports to realize opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.

  • Your strong organizational skills will serve you well as you ensure physical inventory reconciliations are performed regularly and appropriate action is taken to address any deviations from expected values.

  • Your computer proficiency will be essential as you provide regular reporting on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) to ensure that Operations and Regional Business Management have the required data to drive operational improvements.

  • Applying your financial expertise, you will guide the cost estimation phase of site projects, as well as provide financial guidance / expertise where needed.
