This exciting role will
require working with the Signals Repository team to develop reusable solutions
and tools to enable promotion of Data Science assets to Advisory professionals
and enhance client delivery.
Responsibilities:
+ Operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with both virtual and face-to-face interactions utilizing structured approaches to solve problems, document assumptions, and communicate progress and issues
+ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and formulate working hypotheses that can be validated through statistical modeling or machine learning approaches across different areas (technology, financial services, emerging tech, government agencies and utilities)
+ Leverage advanced analytics tools and prepare, extract, and enrich a variety of structured and unstructured data sources, while performing exploratory data analysis, generating, and testing working hypotheses to uncover interesting trends and relationships
+ Develop tools and packages for data ETL, quality assurance, model development, testing, and evaluation that can be leveraged and reused across different projects
+ Provide data science related assistance to Signals Repository users across the firm and from member firms
Qualifications:
+ Minimum three years of recent professional experience in a Data Scientist role
+ Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industry Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree/PhD preferred
+ Experience with solving data science problems end to end, including data discovery, cleaning, model selection, validation, and deployment; experience coding artificial intelligence methods using object-oriented programming in a software development process, and ability to restructure, refactor, and optimize code for efficiency
+ Demonstrated strength in problem-solving ability through the use and/or development of data science algorithms, models, testing, etc.; ability to utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed, to deliver insights, such as Python, R, experience with command-line scripting, data structures, and algorithms
+ Effective business acumen and problem-solving skills and ability to clearly communicate and articulate business needs to executive level stakeholders.
+ Ability to travel approximately 10% as needed to support firm engagements
