The NGC Platform (NGC) engineer works alongside architects, designers, frontend engineers, and others to deliver software systems that support NGC services as directed by the Cloud Operations Director. This engineer works within the team to collaborate on software solutions, works to ensure good documentation, and is constantly willing to tackle new skills to meet the shifting demands of the public cloud and Kubernetes world. The engineer will write software that aligns with the broad architectural vision for the NVIDIA Cloud Platform, working with architects to develop a robust, scalable system. This engineer will be encouraged to lead thinking internally and externally on NVIDIA's approach to Cloud Native, Cloud, and Kubernetes, as well as supporting SRE teams with dev support and other internal product teams with consultation.
What you will be doing:
Develop software and systems and contribute directly to the platform
Responsible for collaborating and adapting NVIDIA stakeholder requirements into actionable software artifacts
Work and collaborate with engineering managers, architects, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver high quality software
Validate software solutions
Mentor other engineering team members into better patterns and processes
Speak at events

Deliver code to meet project requirements and goals
What we need to see:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of equivalent experience
Experience building and shipping services around Kubernetes, Cloud Native, and Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure.)
Experience with open-source, specifically projects in the CNCF ecosystem
Experience with backend systems and software engineering
Programming experience in a relevant language, e.g. Golang, Python
Understanding of common approaches to software engineering, software architecture and design
Background communicating design, status, and other complex subjects in written, visual, and oral formats across teams and with partners on all sides of the project
Ability to demonstrate Jira, Confluence, and GitLab
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with ClusterAPI, Terraform, Tinkerbell, and other infrastructure tooling
Networking experience with one of the top cloud providers in the context of Kubernetes
Experience with service meshes like Istio and Linkerd
Capable of consulting on how to refactor software to run better in systems such as Kubernetes
Can discuss and work with CSI, CNI, and CRI
Familiarity with the CNCF and the tooling across the ecosystem

The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires that NVIDIA provide the compensation range and benefits offered for this position if performed in Colorado. The base salary range for this position in Colorado is $126,000.00 - 173,250.00 USD.
