We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Sr. Electrical Engineer. This individual will be an integral part of the engineering team and will focus on leveraging the latest analog and digital technologies to design electronics for audio applications which includes amplifiers, processors, and integration accessories. This role will have a high sense of ownership in the product since it will involve many aspects of design and validation from ideation through launch. This position will have high team visibility and will collaborate with all other groups in the organization.


**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

High power audio amplifier design and analysis

Perform discrete analog and digital circuit design and analysis

Design schematics and PCBs using Altium Designer

Perform board bring-up and debug to optimize HW on bench and in real-world conditions

Work with new product team and OEM customers to define product requirements

Work with mechanical engineers to design mechanical interface

Work with embedded engineers to design hardware for MCUs, DSPs, etc

Work with test engineers to develop hardware validation test plans and EOL test systems

10% Domestic and international travel

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineering team members

Research and develop new technologies for use in new products

Technical liaison for OEM customers


**REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:**

Bachelors in electrical engineering, or equivalent

Minimum 10 years of job-related experience

Experience in power amplifier design

Excellent project engineering skills

Ability to design and develop multiple products concurrently

Expertise in standard engineering concepts, best practices, and procedures

Working knowledge in theory of operation of analog and digital filters, amplifier classes, feedback, and SMPS topologies

Expertise in analog and digital design, schematic creation, and PCB layout

Expertise in audio design and performance standards, design validation standards, production validation standards, and quality control

Expertise with tools and software such as Audio Precision, oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQ, spectrum analyzers, SPICE, Altium Designer, and Altium Vault

Basic understanding of Digital Signal Processing (e.g., crossovers, biquads, limiters, delay, etc.)

Experience with designing products with wireless Bluetooth EDR/LE modules

Working knowledge of EMC standards and design for EMC best practices

Experience in thermal management design for electronics and electronics enclosures

Ability to debug and troubleshoot new and legacy designs

Familiarity in system level integration of mobile audio components such as source units, speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers into vehicles

Some experience / knowledge of firmware development is nice to have
