JOB POSITION:        Senior Engineer

LOCATION:              1000 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403

DUTIES:                     Designs new testing methods and resolves routine and non-routine technical issues with minimal assistance and has experience with Junit, Mockito, Kotest, Spock. Applies knowledge of package-specific configuration and deployment, and builds custom solutions. Builds strong commitment within the team to support the appropriate team priorities. Writes and organizes code using multiple computer languages, including distributed programming and understand different frameworks and paradigm. Influences and applies data standards, policies, and procedures. Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise. Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education. Utilizes JIRA, Spring, Spring Boot, React, Kafka, DOMO, Grafana, Kibana, Mockito, Spock, GitHub, Java, Kotlin, Java/J2EE, Jenkins, Junit, Kotest, Spark, SparkSQL, Oracle, Drone, Grade, Cucumber, Restful. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.

           

REQUIREMENTS:  At least a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, and at least two (2) years of experience as a software engineer (any title); modifying and migrating legacy systems to a distributed environment; designing and developing applications using Java, including spring boot applications; using Kafka message cluster, RabbitMQ, or JMS; implementing Spark, SparkSQL, and database connections (Oracle, PostGres, or MySQL); using Agile processes involving Jira, spring, and standups; and writing unit test, behavior driven tests, and automation test scripts using Mockito or Cucumber. Must have at least two (2) years of experience using GitHub, Jenkins or Vela or Drone, JIRA, Spring Boot, Restful, Kafka, Grafana, and Kibana. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.

In the alternative, the employer will accept at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, and at least five (5) years of post-Bachelor’s, progressive experience, as a software engineer (any title); modifying and migrating legacy systems to a distributed environment; designing and developing applications using Java, including spring boot applications; using Kafka message cluster, RabbitMQ, or JMS; implementing Spark, SparkSQL, and database connections (Oracle, PostGres, or MySQL); using Agile processes involving Jira, spring, and standups; and writing unit test, behavior driven tests, and automation test scripts using Mockito or Cucumber. Must have at least two (2) years of experience using GitHub, Jenkins or Vela or Drone, JIRA, Spring Boot, Restful, Kafka, Grafana, and Kibana.
