The Role
AMERGINTS engineering team islooking fora Senior Linux Systems Administrator to administer our Redhat Linux systems, Dell switches, AWS environment, Azure, Openshift and Ansible environment. This position will be located in the Colorado Springs, CO office.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for attaining and maintaining CMMC Level 2 compliance
Administration of Redhat Linux systems, Dell switches, AWS environment, Azure, Openshift and Ansible environment
Explore and integrate new technologies, transitioning operations from traditional administration and deployment to infrastructure as application leveraging automation/configuration management technologies.
Daily maintenance/administration of multiple production systems
Prepare for new product related releases and assists with new initiatives and upgrades
Work with our product development team to implement and support client offerings
Installation, set up, configuration and maintenance of Kubernetes Build Environment, Openshift, Proxmox Virtualization Environment, PFSense Firewalls, and Database Servers
Assists with Backups and recovery
Configuration and maintenance of the monitoring system
Occasional work after hours or weekends at our colocation facility
Respond to alerts issued by our monitoring systems
Required Skills
Postsecondary education in computer science or technology support services or equivalent capability from relevant work experience
Minimum 4+ years experience in a small to midsize software company in a Systems Administrator role.
Familiar with CMMC and NIST 800-171 preferred
Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
Strong technical problem solving skills and experience in IP networking and static routing FTP, SSH, SMTP, DNS, HTTP/S, DHCP, VLANs, Syslog logging facility
Experience in a highavailability and mission critical environment
Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible
Experience with Redhat Satellite Server and Ansible Tower preferred.
Competency in administrating the OS for very large database systems (TB+)
Experience with Firewalls (IPTABLES/IPCHAINS, PFSense)
Experience with Kubernetes / Containers.
Experience with SNMP/Monitoring system
Experience in visualization and network attached storage
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Communicate effectively with others both on a technical level and on a business level
Team player and ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a high paced and energetic environment
Independent problem solver and selfstarter. Strong documentation abilities necessary to ensure timely problem resolution
Timely decision making and organizational skills
Ability to set priorities and drive for results
