The Service Operations Business Insights (SOBI) team is looking for our next Software Engineering Senior Manager supporting our web-based tools and platforms. UI Layers with ReactJS and Angular ... Service Layers with Python Flask and Java SpringBoot ... Data Layers in MS SQL, Oracle, and AWS S3/Lambda. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Service Operations Business Insights (SOBI) organization supports the data and analytical needs of Evernorth Service Operations. As a center of excellence for best practices in Data Platforms, Web Platforms, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, and Business Intelligence, the team brings together data from contact centers, client benefits, coverage review, claims processing, print and digital communications, and beyond in novel ways to provide actionable insights to business partners from front-line Prior Authorization Representatives and Patient Care Advocates to Senior Leadership. By turning data into information, and information into insight, we passionately strive to make the operational services provided by Evernorth to customers, clients, and providers the safest, most efficient, most convenient, and most trusted in the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for design, development, deployment, and maintenance of analytic platforms and content related to Evernorth Service Operations

  • Act as Stakeholder with business partners and analytics leadership to craft and prioritize a portfolio of projects aligned to critical organizational objectives and turn high-level ideas into concrete action plans while effectively managing to agreed-upon deliverable dates

  • Organizes and assigns work to analysts/designers/engineers in ways that promote productivity, accountability, and growth and effectively communicate prioritization decisions to relevant stakeholders

  • Seeks to continuously understand Evernorth/Cigna/Express Scripts in order to make well-informed, well-aligned decisions as an enterprise-minded leader

  • Puts expectations, controls, and processes in place to ensure vigilant support of high-quality, high-value analytic platforms and products

  • Proactively identifies and develops training plans for knowledge gaps (technical or business-related) that limit team effectiveness

  • Identifies opportunities and implements improvements to team platforms, processes, and tools to enhance team effectiveness

  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Customer Service, Client Service, Provider Service, Workforce Planning, Technology, Finance, Strategy, Operational Readiness, and Solutions Delivery

  • Provides status updates, relevant guidance, and thoughtful presentations to a wide array of internal business customers including senior leaders in Evernorth Service Operations

  • Continually monitors the analytic tools, methods, and overall tech stack used by the department and critically assesses relative to an ever-evolving set of global competitors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years' relevant experience in analytical/technical development (Experience in Healthcare, Pharmacy, Contact Center, and/or Print/Digital Communications is a plus

  • Experience with Web UI Frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, Vue, or equivalent)

  • Experience with Web Programming (C#.NET, ASP.NET, Python, Django, ColdFusion, Java, or equivalent)

  • Experience with SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Postgres, Hive, AWS S3/Lambda or equivalent)

  • Experience with Data Visualization (D3, Highcharts, FusionCharts, Plotly, Tableau or equivalent)

  • Experience with Agile Methodology (sprints, kanban, backlogs, demos, retros)

  • Proven track-record of continuous learning, tech modernization, and scalability improvements in prior projects

  • Ability to effectively coordinate with essential IT partners to bring relevant experts to the table in order to deliver meaningful improvements

  • Proven track-record of improving processes to more efficiently use time, storage, and processing

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $126,400 - $210,600, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
