The Senior Strategic Partner Manager will be the face of Samsung to some of our most important partners. This role will report into the Director of Business Development, Ad Platforms and will work both internally and with partners, on critical projects to drive Samsungs Ads business forward. This position will require global relationship analysis and management, ownership of key business projects, deal negotiation and contracting, global process management, and leadership of key operational work streams.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as a strong analytical mind and the ability to navigate a large organization. While managing the day-to-day partner relationships, the candidate will need to be able to see the big picture while remaining detail oriented. This candidate will be self-motivated, and solutions-focused with an ability to unravel internal complexity, navigate the organization, and come to a quick understanding of the business. The position will also require excellent project management, and presentation skills.
Role and Responsibilities
Develop highly effective, deep relationships with key Ad Platform partners. Provide day-to-day management of partner relationships with a focus on growth activities.
Lead and project manage complex global contract relationships and deal frameworks.
Drive thought leadership on the evolving market and advocate across the organization on behalf of partners and opportunities.
Work cross-functionally across business development, product, operations, sales, and other areas of the organization (including Korea HQ) to develop and execute business strategy
Drive thinking on key business metrics for partnerships, taking responsibility for mobilizing partners and internal resources to execute to meet objectives
Prepare strategy documents, quarterly business reviews, and executive presentations
Work with legal to manage and execute contractual terms, legal processes and negotiation scenarios
Track revenue, billing and money flows
Skills and Qualifications
BA/BS required, MBA/JD preferred but not required
7+ years of relevant experience working in a business development and partner management capacity
Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations
Passionate about technology and new media trends
Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Operational experience managing complex partnerships
Experience interpreting and administering multifaceted contracts, interfacing with legal teams
Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are a must
Diagnostic mindset, with ability to process data rapidly to come to right business conclusions
Demonstrated ability to thrive while managing multiple projects and deadlines
