Disney Streaming Services is looking for a capable Senior Product Designer for the Motion & Prototype team, who is passionate about user experience and design systems. The role entails working directly to support motion designers, video production, and prototyping and reports to the Design Manager who oversees workflow pipelines. The position also involves working directly with developers, motion designers, and cross-organization Product Managers - supporting and enabling smooth processes of delivering motion specifications & design assets for production, as well as Disney events, and executive presentations.
The team works across desktop/web, tablet, mobile, and TV - providing high fidelity interactive prototypes for proof of concepts, producing executive demos for presentations and live events, and providing support for product UX research.
**Responsibilities**
As a Sr. Product Designer you will:
+ Support a team of 8-10 designers, ranging from middle to director level.
+ Maintain a mature, modern design process.
+ Contribute to the successful delivery of design from concept to deployment.
+ Lead as a subject matter expert for the rest of the design team, providing design guidance, documenting and socializing best practices for artwork workflows related to motion design, video production, and interactive prototype production.
+ Speak crisply to the current and planned designs of the team's projects.
+ Demonstrate deep knowledge of device platform best practices and guidelines.
+ Adhere to and help shape our design system and brand guidelines, ensuring a high-level of quality, establishing a consistent look and feel throughout the product, and only diverging when the need is validated.
+ Collaborate with peers in research, product, engineering, and marketing on cross-functional projects.
+ Help manage assets and incoming work from the team to design compelling next level presentations.
**Qualifications**
Required:
- 3+ years of design experience including UI, UX, Motion, and Visual Design.
- Strong understanding of complex UX/UI behaviors and interactions.
- Expert Visual Designer capable of preparing files for video production, motion design, and prototypes.
- Strong Understanding of Motion principles for UI - Web, Mobile, TV, and Gaming Consoles.
- Ability to manage large amounts of content and deliver in a coordinated and organized workflow to teams during production cycles.
- Expert asset production skills to transform layered and flattened design files into motion ready files.
- Ability to excel in both collaborative and siloed workflows while maintaining consistent productivity.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and frequent requirement changes and communication with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in the Adobe Suite: Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator as well as Figma.
- Understanding and experience with video editing & compression tools.
Preferred:
- Experience with 3D tools such as Cinema 4D or After Effects 3D.
- Understanding of UI/UX design relative to connected device platforms such as tvOS, Roku, Xbox, Smart TVs (Samsung), etc.
- Audio editing, mixing, and composing, DAWs such as Logic, Ableton, etc.
**Education**
BA or equivalent experience.
