This data-focused role requires the ability to mine various data sources, build and analyze reports to summarize conclusions on business trends. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be tasked with embedding new real time portfolio management analytics and reporting capabilities to drive data driven decision making, operational improvement and automation for Chubbs Cyber line of business. With responsibilities aligned to the businesss strategic objectives across enhanced customer outcomes, risk selection superiority and breakthrough efficiency, the analyst will be a key owner and leader at the cross-section of the data and reporting, advanced analytics and data science, actuarial science, platform, distribution, and operational domains.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain management dashboards. Produce large volume applications in Qlikview and QlikSense, leveraging Qlik specific design patterns specifically designed to support datasets with hundreds of millions of records
Translate business needs to data and analytics requirements. Working closely with stakeholders through a governance process that engages multiple business disciplines, provide thought leadership on prototyping automated, actionable, and real time reporting solutions
Identify opportunities to both improve existing and develop new data visualization and portfolio monitoring capabilitiesLeverage deep understanding of business objectives to improve or develop new KPIs and monitoring capabilities to align stakeholders across functional areas
Conduct performance tuning to meet acceptable threshold of response time
Independently lead data implementation projects of varying complexity including identification of issues, prioritization, requirements, testing, and integration into production processes
5+ years data analysis, reporting and/or visualization experience; insurance, financial services or management consulting industry preferred
BS Degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or comparable degree
Proficiency in visualization application development (ex. Qlik, MS Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy etc.)
Strong knowledge of Excel and SQL
Results driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
