The Job:
In the role of Senior Engineer - Full Stack, you will be part of a new team that will build the next generation payment platform that must serve all Ticketmaster's ticketing platforms and give a unified and reliable payment experience for our fans worldwide.
You will be responsible for owning the design, the architecture, and the development of entire vertical application components. You will have to rely on your wide range of experience to solve complex problems, and you will have to mentor junior and new engineers in your team. You will work with a large variety of technologies and will be part of a fully DevOps & Agile team responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of web applications / micro-services, including the infrastructure and production operation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Design and implement robust, reliable, highly available, and scalable Restful APIs and web applications with solid monitoring and alerting capabilities;
Develop UI components using TypeScript, Reactjs and Styled Components;
Interact with Product/ UX designers to implement new features and augment existing ones;
Design and develop tools to improve our continuous delivery mindset on AWS (AWS services, terraform, serverless, EKS, Gitlab-CI);
Ensure high quality through automated tests;
Be part of pager duty rotation;
Ensure the right balance between standardization, innovation, quality, and technical debt reduction, to be able to deliver the business value fast;
Mentor junior engineers and promote motivation.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Solid experience developing production-quality software at a high scale;
Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience;
Ability to learn new technologies and paradigms rapidly;
Strong Java/Kotlin/JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills;
Strong knowledge of web technologies (Reactjs / Nextjs / Material-UI / StyledComponent);
Strong knowledge of web applications test strategies (UT, IT, UAT, Capacity tests);
Good knowledge of GraphQL;
Experience building architectures for web applications (CDN, API Gateway, Backend For Front End, Authentication, Security);
Solid experience writing Spring boot classic and reactive Microservices with Java and Kotlin;
Experience with Distributed / Service-Oriented / Microservice and cloud-based architectures;
Experience with building cloud native applications on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes;
Experience working in an Agile + DevOps development environment;
Experience with DevOps / Continuous Delivery / Continuous Deployment best practices and guidelines;
Experience with pipeline automation using python;
Experience coaching junior engineers and documenting the best practices;
Good knowledge of design principles for delivering Microservices with high cohesion, autonomous scope, business domain-centric organization, resilient, and built with centralized monitoring.
